About Me

Kellie Bucy lives in Texas, traveling to all the jagged corners of the state with her husband, two kids and four dogs to write, take photos and drink coffee. 

She's been writing her whole life. In middle school she won a contest in her class to write an alternate ending to The Call of The Wild, in high school she got the top grade in her English class for a short story with a photo prompt and in college she wrote a hundred short stories and started taking portraits for friends and family. Now, she writes mostly paranormal, fantasy and horror set in her native land, Texas. 

One year in high school, her family took a trip to San Antonio for spring break. Armed with a small digital camera and an artistic eye, she realized her love of photography while taking pictures of all the missions and El Mercado. Since then, photography has been a staple in her life. In 2009 she won an honorable mention in Photographer's Forum, Best of Photography for a photo she took after prom. Through college and beyond, her friends call on her for portraits, family sessions and other milestone photos. She is accepting clients for family, engagement and personal portraits. 

She's hilarious in real life and witty on paper. Her future bio will include best seller lists, photo awards and a number of dogs.
